Brilliant Young Mind, A

This is a highly contrived
story of a brilliant young (male) math prodigy with no social skills, whose father has died,
who treats his mother badly, and whose math tutor (himself once a prodigy) has sort of withdrawn from life.
At a math training session with China, the young man meets a female math prodigy, in parallel his tutor
and mother strike up a friendship, and in the end things are looking better for everyone.
