Citizen Ruth

Ruth is an addicted unfit mother (four children have been taken away from her). She is arrested again for sniffing paint, found to be pregnant, and told by the judge to have an abortion or go to jail for endangering her fetus. So she becomes a pawn in the pro-life/pro-choice wars, pulled both way by people pretending to befriend. Laura Dern is excellent in the lead role.
