This movie was completely
engaging (intriguing) and I keep thinking about it. However,
throughout the movie I was puzzled what it was trying to say. My
wife explained to me that it was completely obvious what it was
about, to the point of almost being trite. At the risk of making
manifest that I still don't comprehend, here's what I think the
movie is saying: (a) women are driven nuts if the enjoy their
sexuality; (b) women are driven nuts if they suppress their
sexuality; (c) no other options are offered. The movie is written,
directed and produced by women.
I'd welcome an alternative explanation.
