Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, The (in Swedish)

Rating = B

This is the third in the series that started with “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and which continued with “The Girl Who Played with Fire.” As with the prior two films, “Hornet's Nest” is quite true to the book while necessarily leaving out lots of parts of the plot included in the book. By leaving out bits of subplot, some of the motivation for what happens in the main plot is lost or is not as well motivated as in the book. The movie ends with the idea that “the girl” will have no friend. This is different than the idea with which one is left by the book. It's still a good ending, and a necessary change, I think.
