Solitary Man

This is the story of a once successful
man, Ben Kalmen, who faced his own mortality by spiraling into failure. The
acting is fine, particularly by Michael Douglas. It is also interesting to see
Susan Sarandon looking older and a little softer (the latter perhaps is just
good acting). The premise is interesting, but the parts of the story involving
Ben's college friend and the young male college student he meets and advises
seem pretty contrived.
