A note on my rating system

My basic rating system is based on whether the movie held my attention for the full time I was watching it and how much I continue to think about it in the days that follow. To be a B+ movie it must hold my attention for the complete movie; to be an A- movie it must capture my thoughts at least once on a following day. Beyond that, my rating system is as follows:

A+ Couldn't put it out of my mind

A or A- Exceptionally well done

B+ Completely satisfactory

B Really quite good but some non-trivial weakness

B- Quite enjoyable but not heavy weight

C Routine to poor

D Bad

There is not always complete consistency between my basic rating system and the extended system.
