The critics generally seem to love this movie for the wonderful acting of the leading man and for the way the director has made a sort-of-silent, B&W contemporary 2010 film. I found it pretty slow going and was not that interested in seeing an homage to film technology of the 1920s. The look of the actors did make me want to see one of the actual contemporary films the director has made with these actors.
