Biggest Little Farm, The
Rating = {B-
This is a documentary telling the
story of a hustand and wife who without knowledge of farming decide to do sustainable
farming in foothills in
California on 200 acres that start out as unsuitable for farming. Each time they take a step
forward, something thwarts them but then something else saves them; this goes on year after year and is the
fundamental theme of the movie — that given enough time, nature is self-correcting and regulating. Ultimately they create a highly diverse successful farm. However, to me the movie felt somewhat artificial; I needed more explanation of how the economics of all this worked.
