Black Book, The (in Dutch and German)
Rating = B-
This movie
feels like it was made in the 1950s, not long after WWII. It has
naivete of plot and a central character with almost Modesty Blaise like
qualities of getting everything done that needs to be done. I wonder why the director
wanted to make this film in 2007. Of course, he may have wanted to show
the contrast between the people in the Dutch resistance and those who
were collaborators, and he definitely wanted to exhibit Carice van Houten.
