Blind Side, The

Rating = B-

The movie is fairly true to the book, but the book is a first rate story and the movie is only so so. Because the movie is a star vehicle for Sandra Bullock, there is more focus on her character than on the husband who gets more equal emphasis in the book. Fortunately, Bullock does a fine job in the role. The sister is also more important in the book than in the movie where the brother gets disproportionate emphasis. The movie is entertaining enough, but you really should read the book.
