Class, The (French)

This is the universal
story of good junior high classroom teachers doing their best in the
face of students who don't see the relevance to them of what is being
taught. The teacher is clever in turning the students' smart mouth
remarks into teachable moments but it's sometimes hard to control
himself in the face of their non-stop chatter. We see some
interesting aspects of the French school system are shown: student
and perhaps representatives in every meeting where the faculty
discuss serious things; faculty concern that a student they expel
from their school gets placed in another school.
