This is a sad story, not a
comedy. Adam Sandler is moving in the lead role, playing a
successful but unhappy man (as he also did well in Punch-Drunk Love
and Spanglish). It also is a look into the lives of professional and
wanna-be comedians — mostly unhappy and always crude it appears. They
are so unfunny in this film, it pulled down my enjoyment of the
drama.
