This is interesting but flat — without energy. Partially the flatness is because Anthony Hopkins mimics Alfred Hitchcock's manner of speech, which could be amusing for a few sentences at the beginning and end of a TV show, gets in the way of a whole film in which the Hitchcock character is in every scene.
