Rating = B
The movie is well acted,
especially by Samantha Morton and the girl who plays the elder
daughter. And I am always attracted to stories with lots of
strange characters living in the same apartment building. However,
somehow, the main story line lacks the passion and depth it is
obviously striving for. There were indications that this was a
personal story for director Jim Sheridan, and that perhaps got in
his way; I'll have to look up what the story is.
