I liked this quite a lot. The members of the quartet are connected to each other by more than just being musical colleagues. When the oldest member of the quartet needs to retire for health reasons, it is more than a matter of finding another musically compatible player for this quartet which has been together for 25 years — all the other connections play into the situation. No doubt this is representative of many other small partnerships or teams working together for long periods of time and sublimating long standing issues for the good of the group.
