Leave No Trace
Rating = B+
The father
and teenage daughter living in Forest Park in Portland, OR,
have such an unconventional "home" situation that the authorities must step in.
They do so with compassion, first confirming the daughter is not being mistreated
and then finding the pair a actual housing situation as rural as possible.
But the audience can anticipate it is not going to last. Along the way, people
help the pair as they sort out where their lives will go next. It's a gentle film.
The spare dialog is wonderfully written.
