Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day
Rating = C+
I wonder why this movie was made.
It could have fit in nicely with the movies made in the 1930s, and there is no reason to
have such a fairy tale period piece today. Nonetheless, overall
the movie is reasonably enjoyable.
Amy Adams and Frances McDormand are fine
in their roles and they provide reasons for American viewers to go see the movie.
However, I suspect any number of British actresses would have been just as good or better in
this otherwise all British production.
