On a Clear Day
Rating = B-
The movie probably doesn't
deserve more than the C or C+ grade most real critics seem to be give
it — it's not really high quality movie making. However, I give it a
slightly higher rating because it doesn't try to be more than it is.
For instance, it keep's Frank's English channel swim as a personal
project involving only family and friends rather than building it into
a national event. The acting is uniformly capable, and I enjoyed
seeing scenes of Glasgow and hearing the people from Scotland talk.
