One hundred twenty-seven (127) Hours
Rating = C+
I found
this to be a pretty unpleasant film to watch, and not only because of the scenes of
suffering by the trapped rock climber who ends up cutting off his arm to escape.
The visual effects that the director uses, to compensate for the fact that most of the
movie take place in a narrow rock crevice and the actor can't move from where his arm is
caught under a rock, were really quite unpleasant for me. I'd like a story, not just visual
effects. This movie has a story that would be good for a half-hour documentary, but
not enough story to make a 90 minute movie.
