Pool, The

It's a narrative film based on a
story by co-screenplay writer Randy Russell and directed by documentary
film maker Chris Smith. It has a very documentary feel and look, which
is informative about Goa India where the story takes place and the
lives people live there. Most of the actors are non-professionals,
which works quite well and adds to the documentary feel. The film is a
little slow and the story is simple (but not obvious). Altogether, it
works quite well.
We saw the film at the Cinema 21 on NW 21st in Portland, OR, and I
recommend patronizing this fine one-screen theater.
