Religulous
Rating = C+
[on DVD] Bill Maher states his
opinion of religion, particularly Christianity, by sort of
interviewing a bunch of believers. The interviewees have three
reactions: they state that it's all true because it's true, they
don't respond, or they agree that it's not meant to be taken
literally. Maher is an annoying interviewer because he keeps
interrupting his interviewees with attempts at humor. No one is
going to be convinced to change his mind by seeing this movie. The
believers will still believe, and the non-believers probably won't
hear much that is new. Thus, in the end, the movie is probably most
valid as a testament to Bill Maher's taking the time to publicly
espouse his principles.
