Winter's Bone

This movie reminds me of ``Frozen
River,” Both take place in winter in a poor part of the country, involve a
person's crumbling home, have an absent father, and require young kids to be
taken care of while crossing a ways to the wrong side of the law. The lead
woman in each does award quality acting.
