Director/writer/composer Sally Potter tries to do too much and
is far from entirely successful, but her efforts are lots of fun to watch.
She is clearly in polemic mode, and this has annoyed many of the real critics.
But I think her didactic approach just adds to the already non-representational
feel of the movie. The dialog is in iambic pentameter, but
Potter writes fine, lively, often funny iambic pentameter that actually
helps keep the film moving along.
