A male fiddler crab is easily recognizable by its one exaggerated claw. The fiddler crab is so named because it looks to be bowing the fiddlelike big claw when it scoops food into its mouth with its small claw. Fiddler crabs have evolved to be almost terrestrial creatures, with some lung capacity which enables them to stay out of water for long periods of time.
