Technical details about this web site
With the exception of the genealogical database itself, this web site
is more or less hand-crafted. No specialized
web publishing software is used (for reasons I can justify if anyone cares).
Low level HTML is created using a text editor. The overall web site
structure is created using a Perl program and HTML templates. Changes and additions
are uploaded to the server computer using FTP.
If anyone is interested in helping me with maintaining the web site, I'll be
glad to consider your offer. It could be an opportunity to learn a little bit
about HTML, FTPing, and running Perl programs. Of course, having help from someone who already knows HTML, FTPing, and Perl would be nice, too.
